AGRINAI (Malaezia)

Slasher-Thriller cu accente SF realizat într-un mod realmente spectaculos, mai ales pentru o cinematografie ce nu are o tradiţie notabilă în spaţiul horror, Agrinai spune povestea ultra-violentă a trei psihopaţi, transportaţi în mod ilegal din închisoare într-un imobil izolat pentru a fi studiaţi de către Dr. Jegan, un expert în psihologia criminalilor, cu ajutorul unui drog sedativ experimental. Cei trei ucigasi în serie reacţionează însă contrar aşteptărilor şi încep să iasă la vânătoare de localnici… până află drumul spre domiciliul cercetătorului lipsit de orice sprijin al autorităţilor în demersul lui clandestin şi, drept urmare, total vulnerabil, împreună cu întreaga sa familie. Masacrul nocturn se prefigurează şi doar o întorsătură de situaţie surprinzătoare îi poate schimba destinul funest. Agrinai, deja premiat în câteva festivaluri asiatice, va fi lansat în cinematografele malaeziene abia în februarie 2024(!), deci este greu de estimat când ar putea ajunge şi la noi, iar şansa de a-l vedea pe marele ecran în cadrul Dracula Film Festival s-ar putea dovedi unică.

“Agrinai – RBG”. RGB, directed by the multiawarded Malaysian filmmaker Thanesh Perrabu (Parampatham), which will be launched in the cinemas in February 2024, is a sci-fi slasher thriller story of three psychopaths. Dr. Jegan, a criminal psychologist who carried out a study on 3 most wanted psychotic serial killers, by brought them from prison illegally to an isolated house in deep forest. With use of a special drug, he able to study their thoughts and the drug made them sedative. One night, the psychopaths woke up from the sleep and bad things starts to happen. The blood thirsty killers start to hunt the locals in the surrounding and they found the way to the Doctor’s home. Dr.Jegan knew ready about this and now he is vulnerable because of no police or government support. Most importantly, he knew he have to safe his family. Will he and his family survive the night? There will be a massacre throughout the night. In the climax, an unexpected twist is waiting to be revealed.
